Comprehensive eye tests
A comprehensive check of your vision and eye health with Tri, including an up-to-date prescription and screening for common eye conditions. Tri uses modern equipment and always leaves time for your questions.
Not sure what's wrong? Sometimes your eyes just don't feel right, but it's hard to describe or pinpoint why. That's exactly when a comprehensive eye test is the best place to start, Tri will look at your vision and eye health as a whole for a complete picture and talk you through what he finds.
What's included
• Vision check, up close and at a distance
• An up-to-date prescription for glasses or contact lenses
• A look at the health of the front and back of your eyes
• Screening for common conditions such as glaucoma and macular changes
When to book: we generally recommend an eye test every two years, or sooner if you notice blurry vision, headaches, eye strain or any change in how you see.
Red or sore eyes
Red, itchy, watery or gritty eyes can have many causes, from allergies and dry eye to infections or something caught in the eye. Rather than guessing at the pharmacy, book in with Tri. He'll examine your eyes to find the source of the problem and talk you through the right next steps.

When to go to emergency: if you have sudden vision loss, a chemical splash, a serious eye injury or severe pain, go straight to the nearest emergency department, such as the Royal Victorian Eye and Ear Hospital.
Children's eye tests
Good vision plays a big part in how kids learn, read and play, and many children don't realise when something isn't right. Tri takes the time to make your child's eye test relaxed and fun, explaining each step so both you and your little one feel comfortable.
What we check
• How clearly your child sees, up close and at a distance
• How well their eyes work together and focus
• Their overall eye health
• Early signs of short-sightedness (myopia)
When to book: we recommend a first eye test before your child starts school, then regular check-ups as they grow. Book sooner if you notice squinting, sitting close to the TV, rubbing eyes, headaches, or trouble with reading or schoolwork.
If your child needs glasses: we stock kids' frames that are durable and comfortable, so they'll actually want to wear them.
Contact lenses
Contact lenses give you clear vision without frames, whether you wear them every day or just for sport and special occasions. Tri offers personalised fittings to find lenses that suit your eyes and your lifestyle.
Lenses we fit:
• Daily, fortnightly and monthly disposables
• Lenses for astigmatism
• Multifocal lenses for presbyopia (when reading up close gets harder)
First time wearing contacts? With a training fee of $50, We'll teach you how to put them in, take them out and care for them, so you feel confident before you leave.
Already a wearer? Book in for your regular contact lens check to keep your prescription current and your eyes healthy.
Myopia control
Myopia (short-sightedness) makes distant objects look blurry, and it often progresses as children grow. Tri has a strong interest in myopia control and offers options that can help slow its progression in children and young adults.
Options may include:
• Myopia control glasses lenses
• Myopia control contact lenses
• Eye drops prescribed by Tri
• Advice on habits like outdoor time and screen breaks
How it works: after a full eye test, Tri will talk you through the options that suit you, then monitor their progress with regular check-ups.
Custom lenses (prescription and tinted)
The right lenses make all the difference to how your glasses look and feel. Tri helps you choose lenses that suit your eyes, your style and your frames, then makes sure they're fitted properly.
A wide range of coloured lenses: from soft, subtle tints to bold statement colours, in different shades and intensities, with or without a prescription. Come in and see them in person.
Your frames or ours: love your current frames? Bring them in and we'll fit them with new lenses. Or browse our hand-picked boutique frames in store and start fresh.
Your prescription or ours: bring along a current prescription, or book an eye test with Tri and he'll take care of everything, from testing your eyes to fitting your new lenses.

• Prescription sunglasses, with polarised options
• Tinted lenses in a wide range of colours
• Lens extras: anti-reflective coatings, light-reactive lenses, thinner lenses for stronger prescriptions.

We directly bulk bill the Medicare portion, meaning you only pay the gap.
The cost of an eye test is $95.
Contact lens training costs $50 for first-time wearers.
Follow-up appointments may incur additional charges, which will be explained during your visit.

We accept rebates from all major health funds including Bupa, Nib, Hbf, Medibank, Hcf, Hif, Hci, CBHS health, Teachers Health & Navy Health.

We recommend retesting every 2 years to determine the health of your eyes and whether any changes in your vision have occurred.

Our eye tests usually take between 20 and 30 minutes. If any additional tests need to take place, the Optometrist will explain these for you. We may need to re-book these for another day.
